2019 Statistical Revaluation
The City of Portsmouth is currently undergoing a Statistical Revaluation of Residential and Commercial properties throughout the City for the 2019 tax year. A presentation was held June 17, 2019, before the Portsmouth City Council discussing the preliminary analysis by Vision Government Solutions which was recorded and can be viewed along with a copy of the power point presentation on the Assessor’s Web page. 2019 Statistical Revaluation
The City of Portsmouth has contracted with Vision Government Solutions to do a Statistical Revaluation of property values for Fiscal Year 2020 / Tax Year 2019. Vision will be working with the Assessor’s Office to make this project a success. This revaluation will review all assessments throughout the City and estimate the current market value.
City Property Tax Rate Set at $15.84
2018 Partial Update
The City of Portsmouth has contracted with Vision Government Solutions to do an update of property values for Fiscal Year 2019 / Tax Year 2018. Vision will be working with the Assessor’s Office to make this project a success. This update will review all assessments throughout the City and estimate the current market value. It equalizes the values of all properties for the purpose of a fair distribution of the tax burden.
