3D visual model of McIntyre Project to be shared at March 5th public meeting
March 5, 2019Following the City Council’s Public Hearing on the McIntyre Project on January 7th, City staff and the Redgate-Kane team will be reconvening with the public in Council Chambers on Tuesday, March 5th at 6:30 p.m. to reveal a 3D visual model of the project.

Free, reusable bags available for Portsmouth residents at Library and Senior Center
February 11, 2019The City has made available several hundred reusable bags at the Library and Senior Center that residents can pick up and take home free of charge. The Sustainability and Recycling departments worked in conjunction to research a quality bag for residents that would not only encourage reuse, but also echoed the City’s environmental values; therefore, these bags have been made from 100% recycled plastic materials.
One-way traffic on Vaughan Street continuing until end of September
February 8, 2019Beginning on Monday, February 11th, traffic flow on Vaughan Street will change to one way heading in the direction of Raynes Avenue and Maplewood Avenue. This one-way traffic will continue until the end of September due to the construction of the AC Hotel at 299 Vaughan Street adjacent to 3S Artspace. Portsmouth’s Finance Department publishes its Popular and Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports for Fiscal Year 2018
January 18, 2019The Portsmouth community can now access the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and the Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 on the Finance Department’s website. The City’s CAFR and PAFR are prepared following the end of each fiscal year under the guidance of Finance Director Judie Belanger.
