Sagamore Ave Sewer Extension Project Public Meeting Nov 25

As a followup to the Public Dialogue session on October 7 and City Council meeting on October 28, the City and Department of Public Works is hosting a public information meeting on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.at City Hall Council Chambers for further discussion of the design and impacts of the Sagamore Ave Sewer Extension Project.

Portsmouth, New Hampshire -- At a press conference on October 11th US Senator Jeanne Shaheen announced the creation of a national Health Study, proposed by her legislation, of people exposed to human-made chemicals per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). A Pilot Study will focus on PFAS exposure to these chemicals at the former Pease Air Force base.

25th Annual Halloween parade October 31st

The Portsmouth Halloween Parade is an all-volunteer effort, not a City-sponsored event. The parade steps off from Peirce Island at 7 pm and ends at Prescott Park. The parade route proceeds down Daniel Street into Market Square.

ALERT: Chapel Street CLOSED October 1 from 7 am to 12 noon

Chapel Street between Daniel and Bow Streets will be closed from 7 am to 12 noon on Tuesday, October 1 to perform work on the road surface in front of St. John's Church. Traffic will be rerouted around the area and will be blocked from entering Bow from Market Street. The right turn from Penhallow to Bow will also be blocked.
