DPW Announces Cross-Country Sewer Main Easement Tree Removals
January 21, 2025
The City of Portsmouth Department of Public Works will start work on or about January 23, 2025, removing trees along the City’s sewer line right-of-way that parallels and serves the Route 1 corridor. This work is part of periodic maintenance of the line. The work extends cross-country from Hoover Drive, across Springbrook Circle to White Cedar Boulevard along the City’s 30 foot wide sewer easement and is shown circled in red in the graphic.
The City’s tree maintenance professionals will conduct the work between 7 am and 3 pm daily. The entry points along White Cedar Boulevard, Springbrook Circle, and Hoover Drive may be affected briefly, and flaggers will be in place to direct traffic and ensure the safety of pedestrians, as needed.
