The City Clerk’s office will not be able to process marriage licenses or issue certified copies of vital records on Wednesday, September 23rd due to a software upgrade by the Division of Vital Records. Normal transactions will take place on Thursday, September 24th.

The Portsmouth City Clerk has announced that polls will be open in Portsmouth for the NH Primary on Tuesday, September 8, from 8 am to 7 pm.

As required by RSA 652:20, the City Clerk’s office shall be open to receive applications for absentee ballots, to provide voters the opportunity to complete absentee ballots, and to receive returned ballots on the Monday, September 7, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
