The City is a member of the New Hampshire Municipal Association (NHMA) and participates in setting legislative policies for NHMA. Councilor Chris Dwyer is a member of the Board of Directors of NHMA and reports issues of municipal interests addressed by the NHMA Board to the Legislative Subcommittee. For more information about the City’s written testimony submitted this Legislative Session based on the City’s Principles for Legislative Positions, see below. Copies of the City’s written testimony is also provided to the City Council as informational items in the Council Packet.
The City Council has adopted Principles for Legislative Positions listed below in order for the Mayor and City Staff to be able to offer testimony to the Legislature in a timely manner on bills of interest to the City.
The Legislative Subcommittee has also adopted these Approved Procedures for Submission of Testimony.
