REC DEPT STORM UPDATE

All basketball practices are cancelled for tonight (Fri Feb 4) at the Connie Bean Center, so the building will not be opening.

The Indoor Pool will be closing at 4pm. Evening classes have been cancelled.

Spinnaker will remain open as normal.

Programs cancelled for morning of Feb 4th

Due to the forecast for tomorrow, all morning recreation programs at the Portsmouth Indoor Pool and Senior Activity Center have been cancelled for Friday, February 4. This includes AquaZumba and swim lessons at the pool, and Tai Chi, Dull Men's Club and the Friday Movie at the Senior Center. Buildings are expected to remain open. Decisions for afternoon and evening programs will be posted tomorrow.

January 29, 2022 Snowstorm

All Portsmouth Recreation Facilities will be closed on Saturday, January 29. All programs have also been cancelled. Basketball makeup schedules will be emailed on Monday. Indoor Pool swim lessons will receive a credit on their account.

The City of Portsmouth and the Recreation Department/Board are currently working on a study to determine the types of community services, sports and facilities the City needs to meet the demands of residents today and into the future.
