Fleet Street Reconstruction Project
The City of Portsmouth is working on the preliminary design and field work for the Fleet Street Reconstruction Project. This project will include replacement of the underground utilities and reconstruction of the roadway and sidewalks on Fleet Street. The City hired Portsmouth-based engineering consultant, Underwood Engineers, to complete this work.
Pease Wastewater Treatment Facility
The Pease Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) is the smaller of the two City owned treatment facilities and is located at the Pease International Tradeport. This facility is designed to treat an average daily flow of 1.2 million gallons per day (mgd) of wastewater from the Tradeport area to secondary treatment standards. The Pease WWTF was constructed in the 1950’s for the air force and used Primary Treatment followed by trickling filter technology for secondary treatment.
Combined Sewer Overflows (CSO)
Real Time CSO Overflow Notifications
The City Wastewater Division's CSO Dashboard alerts residents of CSO events. If an overflow is detected in any of the measuring devices in the City’s three active CSO outfall locations, it will show up here in real time.
If you would like to receive email alerts, please also sign up for our email list below. Your email will be added to a list in which our measuring devices will email you directly as events occur.
